Easter Bunny steam specials
The WSV's steam train operates as the years before Dampfzug
carrying the children to Langegg where the Easter Bunnies
await them ...
The steam trains will leave Heidenreichstein at 2.0pm and 4.0pm,
each turn will take ca. 80 minutes.
Fares:
Child (until 15 years, own seat) EUR 8,-
Adult plus 1 child ( up to 4 years, no extra seat needed) EUR 16,-
Adult EUR 12,-

Afternoon: terminus departure 1.10pm, arrival in Altnagelberg 1.50pm. Coupled with second
train, leaving 2.50pm for Litschau |

Saturday 24th: ÖGEG special steam train planned, timings not secure
due to uncertainty of possible p/w closures of lines in Czechia.
Sunday 25th: double-headed steam train from Gmünd to Altnagelberg, d.9.55am,
Doppelausfahrt from Altnagelberg 11.0am and diverse run pasts/photo halts before the trains
arrive at Litschau terminus at 12.0 noon. Frühschoppen and small model railway show
with sale. Afternoon terminus departure 1.15pm, arr. Altnagelberg 1.50pm. Both locos
double head the train for Litschau, d. 2.50pm, arr. 3.30pm. Return from Litschau to
Gmünd: 4.03pm departure, arrival 5.20pm with connection secured for Vienna FJB train
dep. 5.33pm. |

Christkindlzug
On the afternoon of 24 Dec. all children expect the Christkind
(the Austrian counterpart of the Anglo-Saxon Santa Claus). To
make work for the afflicted parents a little easier, the WSV
operates the 10th christmas train, which with its load of
children is visited by the Christkind.
